Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete a SocialSync account and request deletion of account-scoped data maintained by SocialSync, including workflow records, stored credentials, and integration data associated with connected services such as TikTok.
1. How to request deletion
You can permanently delete your SocialSync account from the Credentials page in the app by confirming your username. If you need help, cannot access the app, or want us to handle the request manually, email socialsyncdwg@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request. To help us locate the correct account, include:
- your SocialSync username or business/account name;
- the relevant profile name or connected account identifier, if known;
- the provider connection involved, if applicable (for example TikTok); and
- a contact method we can use to verify and confirm the request.
2. What data may be deleted
Subject to verification and applicable legal obligations, account deletion may delete or de-identify account-scoped data such as:
- account records, profile configuration, workflow settings, and scheduling data;
- stored prompts, templates, run history, and operational logs associated with the account;
- stored integration credentials and metadata maintained by SocialSync, such as OAuth tokens and authorization status; and
- associated uploaded media references or records managed within SocialSync.
3. What may be retained
Certain records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, backup integrity, or legal compliance. When that happens, retained records will be limited to what is reasonably required for those purposes.
4. Verification and timeline
We may ask for enough information to verify that the request is authorized. Once verified, we target completion within 30 days, although more complex requests may take longer if additional review is required.
5. Credential and provider access
Deleting an individual credential from SocialSync removes the stored credential record and, where supported, triggers best-effort revocation of the associated provider token or permission. Deleting your SocialSync account removes your account-scoped data from SocialSync, but it does not automatically revoke permissions previously granted directly in a third-party provider's own settings.
- For TikTok, revoke SocialSync through your TikTok app permissions or connected-app settings if you want to ensure the provider-side connection is removed.
- For other providers, use the provider's own security or connected-app controls.
